This Website
How this site came into existence, and why at all.
It was just before Christmas. Then Roland (that's me) asked himself, what can you do on such a cold and rainy day. A website would be something. I haven't yet. I've had a little experience with my own websites since the last millennium, when you still manually wrote the HTML texts in a text editor and uploaded the whole thing. After that came Joomla and Wordpress, and since I'm not really into website programming, but want a simple way to present my images and videos somewhere, I was looking for website kits that would allow you to create click-and-click without much programming. And-drag base quickly gets to the goal.
There are many well-known and lesser-known providers such as B. WIX, IONOS or Squarespace. I knew Squarespace from advertisements on Youtube (greetings to Australia ;) ) but then I discovered Zyro. A newcomer headquartered in Vilnius, best known from "The Hunt for Red October" and located in present-day Lithuania. At Christmas there was a cheap offer with a 1-month test phase, so let's get started ....
